Well, the news of last night was that the Hope Winter Ball was postponed due to weather. Side streets are still pretty dicey as the sand trucks have only made there rounds on the main streets. Even with that, there are a few spots here and there where the ice is thick. Last night there was just a little dusting of new snow, but the day has started off clear and very cold....probably in the 20's. With no Winter Ball, we headed out to UVillage, the only outdoor mall in the area..go figure :-) We had a few things to get and a few things to exchange, and needed some time away from the house.
Maddie is off to a cool birthday party today. They are renting out the Admiral theatre for a private showing of Flushed Away. It starts at 10 o'clock and Maddie is looking forward to popcorn and soda before Noon! While Maddie is at the party, Daddy and Kenzie will be rooting on the Seahawks. Forecast for Chicago is for possible snow and low 30's.
