Golden Ticket Birthday

Today was Maddie's "friend" party day. We had 10 5-6 year old girls and 1 boy packed into two suburbans and we headed out for the Wonka-like birthday party. Earlier in the year we bought a group tour of the new Theo Chocolate Factory and thought it would be a great idea for Maddie's Party. All the kids got to our house between 3:30 and 4 and we got to the factory at 4:30. Here is the group pic:

Wonka Party

It was a very educational tour and every kid had plenty of samples of all their great chocolates. After the tour we packed all the kids back into the car and crossed the Fremont bridge to go to Zeeks pizza. When we walked in our large Cheese and large Peperoni pizza was almost coming out of the oven. The group gobbled down pizza and root beer, followed by mini Ben and Jerry's Ice Cream cups.







With parents due back to our house at 7pm and it being 6:30, we had to hustle to load the kids back into the cars and head home. We finally made it back at 7:10 and had a group of parents standing on the sidewalk in front of our house! Almost everyone stuck around for a quick opening of presents.


Maddie had a very fun and busy day! More to come tomorrow as the b-day weekend continues....
