Watch out Golden...Here come the Landskovs

We knew this day was coming, but goodbye is never easy.  Today we said our final goodbye to the Landskov family, great friends that are moving to Golden, CO.  We have grown close to these guys over the years, especially since Luke and KK are 1 week apart.  They have developed a special little bond while growing up together.  So, aside from the Moms and Dads struggling and sheding a tear (or two), it was tough to see KK start to cry as she said bye to her little buddy.  We plan to stay in close contact with the Landskov, and although this goodbye was tough, we are anxious to see them again soon.   We snapped this quick photo before we took off

Whew, that was close...

We had some great weather this weekend...Sunny, kind of brisk in the AM, warm in the afternoon, etc. Most of all...no rain! We had the chance to wash the cars and get them cleaned out. It has been the first opportunity since our wild Nov/Dec weather to do this.

Saturday night, Nana J came over to watch the kids as we went out with friends for dinner. We thought we would venture back to our old stomping grounds in Renton and visit our favorite Italian restaurant, Armondos. We had made that a regular spot during our 5 years in Renton. So, we made the 15 min drive out there. About 5 min away, we turned to Cary and Julia and said, "Jeez, we hope this place is still here." The closer we got the more we started getting concerned. When we reached the destination we were shocked to see that our old favorite was vacant...with a sign saying, "Coming soon...Stiffys Bar and Grill." Yes, Stiffys had taken the place of the best Chicken Parmsean in town!! Dealing with both the shock of "we drove all the way out here for nothing" and the pain from laughing at a place that would be named "Stiffys" we drove around the block. As we came around the corner, Steph looked down another street and there was the NEW location for Armondos. They had moved!! This was our first trip out to Renton in over a year, and the hostess confirmed they moved in November of 2005. We enjoyed a great dinner with great friends...just like we remembered it.
